Episode 198. 10 minute Tuesday - Parenting v's purpose

No matter how wonderful it is to have kids, It is not your life’s purpose to be a parent.

When parenting and purpose get linked as one and the same, it is always dangerous for the family unit. This means you will inadvertently be using your children to validate your existence, meet your psychological needs and protect you from your deepest fears.

It cannot be your purpose to be a parent, any more than it can be your child’s purpose to be your kid.

Children are a gift for a season. You have an opportunity to enjoy them, bless them, equip them for adulthood and release them to be their own person.

Find out how to break out of the parenting for purpose trap on today's episode of 10 minute Tuesday.
