Episode 260. Blessed are the pure in heart

The insecurity project podcast

This episode is a little longer than normal. Instead of the usual 10 minute Tuesday or my long form interviews and coaching sessions, today I want to talk about my own experience with Christianity and how it relates to overcoming insecurity - specifically I’m talking about how the bible addresses the dilemma of feeling like part of you is not good or that your core nature is not to be trusted.

Jesus’ statement "Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God." has been rolling around in my head for the last few months to great affect, and I thought it was time to share what I believe it means and explain why this quote is good news for everyone.

I'll share my own experiences inside christianity as a pastor and explain why I am no longer a christian even though I never thought that would be the case.

I'll also give you some history, psychology and philosophy and do my best to help you understand why this is such an important topic for us all to explore together.
