The Midlife Confidence Crisis No One Talks About
You've built a life that looks successful. But lately, everything feels off.
The truth is, you’ve spent years running, hiding, proving yourself, avoiding what felt broken. You’ve thrown yourself into work, relationships, achievements and done anything to outrun the quiet voice inside. And for a while, you thought it was working!
And now, everything you’ve been running away from has all caught up with you…Motivation has dropped. Clarity disappeared. Energy vanished. The most confusing and frustrating thing is that thing no amount of tough talk, forcing yourself, or sheer willpower works anymore.
This is the midlife confidence crisis: hidden, unresolved insecurity finally demanding your attention, no matter how well you’ve covered it up.
Why You’re Stuck.
Think of it like this: You are running a factory hell bent on productivity, and the safety officer has just stepped on site and hit the emergency shutdown button with the inconvenient yet urgent news that your setup is not safe.
They’ve identified the great danger in the very operating system you’ve been running on since childhood. And it is wisely and lovingly stopping your progress until those dangers are addressed. Your success must be safe.
The good news is that the list of safety breeches is the same for every ambitious mid-lifer, And they do not automatically fix themselves without careful attention.
Here is what the safety officer has flagged as unsafe in your operating system:
#1. You do not trust yourself
All self-discipline is to use your best energy against yourself and to manage yourself from a place of mistrust. The evidence is clear. However well this has apparently worked for you in the past, it is brutally unkind and unfair. Worse still, it is NOT you at your best. You can never relax in your own company for fear that some fat, lazy, recalcitrant part of you will take over and ruin your life.
#2. You keep showing up needy.
You constantly seek validation, approval and love from your world and are always performing, achieving and attaining to prove your value and worth to them so that they will give you what you need. This always eaves you precariously placed and constantly at the mercy of the world around you.
#3. Your gameplay sucks.
Whether you are aware of it or not, you are involved in a bunch of unwinnable games, or even worse, the games you are winning are costing you your soul. Most of these games you’ve inadvertently found yourself in without ever consciously choosing them. Nevertheless, the cost of winning the wrong games, or losing the right ones is catastrophic at this point in your life. A full game audit is required.
#4. Your avatar is incongruent
Finally, where you are playing the right games, you don’t look like you belong. It’s like you’re playing basketball wearing a netball skirt, and no one is taking your seriously – not even you. Your persona doesn’t match the life you want to win. Until you embody the version of yourself that is capable of success, your safety officer will not give permission to move forward.
You don’t have a discipline problem – You have a permission problem. Right now, permission to move forward has been denied simply because your setup is unsafe.
The Cost of having permission denied is not to be underestimated.
While you stay stuck:
Your drive evaporates. You try to push, but nothing moves.
Your mind spins. Decisions that used to feel easy now paralyze you.
Your energy leaks away. Every day is heavier than the last.
Your best ideas, the ones that could change everything, die quietly inside.
And all the while, the walls close in. Every day you wait, the prison thickens. Every month, it’s harder to trust yourself, harder to act, harder to be fully alive.
There Is A Way Out: The Self-Permission Method
For the past 15 years, I've helped hundreds of successful mid-lifers break free from the war within, completely eradicate insecurity from their life and fully satisfy the 4 conditions of the safety officer so that they can move forward with peace, power and precision - Everything inside them pointing in the same direction.
Over 15,000 coaching hours, five published books, TEDx speaker.
Not through positive thinking. Not through fake-it-till-you-make-it nonsense.
Through a proven system I call The Self-Permission Method - the only way to rebuild confidence from the ground up.
It is impossible to ignore the inner work and try and sail on regardless. Your success must be safe and until it is, you’ll be held back by your internal safety officer.
The Way Out
There is a way to stop running and hiding and to finally face up instead. To stop outsourcing your worth. To rebuild yourself from the ground up using The Self-Permission method from my latest book.
The Unhindered Experience
The Unhindered Experience is a program for ambitious midlifers who are done playing small. It helps you:
Identify, examine and resolve the deepest fear that has been unconsciously running your life
Employ the exact process required to rebuild trust in yourself from the ground up
Build internal/adult resourcefulness so that you can break the cycle of external neediness.
Through reopened lines of communication between your head and your heart, you are now able to conduct a complete audit on all the games you find yourself involved in – exiting the ones that are no longer serving you and opting in to the games perfectly suited to you.
Design and embody a persona who belongs in these right games and who shows up ready to win.
How The Unhindered Experience works
Based on my proven frameworks from three internationally published books, this program systematically addresses the four safety concerns:
The 6-Month Unhindered Experience
Part 1 – Intensive One-on-One (Months 1–2)
For the first two months,
you work through the entire 7 Essential Practices for Overcoming Insecurity in daily online modules.
You get personal asynchronous coaching from me—written feedback, texts, voice messages - and live calls when necessary.
I’ll provide you with everything you need to solve the problem and give you stuff watch, read, listen, and do to match your learning style.
My job is simple: hold you in the space until you get what you need.
While you do the intensive work, you also have access to weekly group calls. These follow 12 coaching themes, which are non-linear, so whatever stage you’re at, you’ll find something relevant.
Part 2 – Implementation, application and fine tuning. (months 3-6)
From Month 3 onwards, the intensive one-on-one support tapers off as you stand on your own two feet.
you continue with group calls, modules, library access, and ongoing asynchronous support.
You’ll see how predictable the change process is and how non-special your problems are. Everyone goes through the same things in slightly different ways.
You’ll try on others’ experiences, benefit from indirect coaching, and integrate lessons faster.
The group helps you get over yourself, trust the process, and embed what you’re learning.
You become part of a high-quality community of fellow journeymen, all focused on being the hero in their own story, fully human, and fully experiencing the wonder of life.
You also get full access to the library of resources—videos, readings, exercises, and tools—so you can revisit anything whenever you need to.

This isn't theory. It's a battle-tested system refined through thousands of real coaching sessions with successful entrepreneurs, executives, and leaders who felt exactly like you do right now.
This Isn't For Everyone
Don't apply if: •
You want quick fixes or magic pills
You're not ready to take 100% responsibility for your results
You prefer excuses to facing the truth about yourself
You're under 35 (this is specifically for midlife challenges)
You're not currently successful (this is for people who've achieved but aren't fulfilled)
Do apply if:
You’ve got the life that looks successful, but inside it feels empty
You’re done spinning your wheels and doubting every choice
You want confidence that actually sticks, not the fake kind people see
You’re ready to face the parts of yourself everyone else avoids
You know the biggest roadblock to your life… is you
The Real Cost of Staying Stuck
Let’s be honest about what your insecurity is already costing you:
The client you didn’t pitch? That deal is gone.
The boardroom idea you held back? Someone else took the credit.
The project you abandoned? Months of energy wasted.
The keynote you declined? The audience you’ll never move.
The relationships you’ve been neglecting? Slowly fraying while you convince yourself you’re “too busy.”
One missed opportunity pays for this program five times over.
But the real cost isn’t money. It’s your family. Your closest relationships. Your peace of mind.
Every day you stay stuck, you’re showing your kids, your partner, and the people you care about that success means stress, that achievement requires anxiety, that joy is optional.
Is that the story you want to leave behind?
* The number of ambitious midlifers I can take through the process each year is limited.
