Episode 15. Laura Bartlett interview
Listen in as I chat with award winning Editor in chief of House of Coco magazine - Laura Bartlett as she shares about her journey about overcoming setbacks and failures to become one of the most exciting and successful young entrepreneurs in the world today.
Laura Bartlett as been a #girlboss since the age of 19 when she launched her first company. She started this with zero investment and has since gone on to achieve worldwide recognition.
Her company is a magazine that has evolved from focussing solely on fashion to now being all about global travel. Laura sought investment help from the TV show the Dragons Den, only to be ridiculed and shot down in front of millions of viewers. As crushing as that was, Laura went on to secure advertisers on her own and soon launched the magazine in 16 countries where it sold out world wide.
Due to a failed partnership with a leading fashion event, the magazine had to close in 2013. After a few months away from the industry, Laura decided to launch a new title - House of Coco Magazine which was more in line with her true passions.
Three years on, she now has a team of over 30 people working with her to produce content for the magazine which is sold in exclusive London stores Harrods, WHSmith and Selfridges. The magazine is also sold on newsstand.co.uk and is the third largest seller out of 4000 titles worldwide.
